Stewardship
Stewardship is how we use our God-given gifts; it is how we use our talents, our time, and our treasure. These are very familiar words, yet they carry a ring of truth. Stewardship is the way we use all our resources to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world.
All giving, of ourselves as well as our financial resources, is in response to God’s goodness and generosity. God gives, then we respond, and we spend our lives learning and growing in our responses. How can you respond?
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
(1 Peter 4:10)
Time & Talent
Here are a few of the many ways in which our congregation uses our time and talent in service to Christ:
-
Become an Elder or a Deacon
-
Serve on a ministry team
-
Support the non-food drives
-
Participate in a service project
Contact us if you are interested in learning more about these opportunities or if you would like to discuss how you might use your own unique talents in service to God.
Treasure
We ask our members - as they are able - to give regularly through a pledge. We also host Special Offerings.
Our online stewardship service provider, Vanco Solutions, provides the ability to contribute to Heritage through electronic bank debit or credit card. You may contribute once or set up a recurring amount.
If you prefer to send your pledge by check, please make it out to “Heritage Presbyterian Church” and send it to the church office: 965 Kuhn Road, Carol Stream, IL 60188.
You will receive a pledge summary from Heritage on an annual basis that will include all forms of giving, both online and in person.
